Description
The Poison Path – Baneful Oils Set (Second Edition)
The Poison Path – Baneful Oils Set is not a decorative object. It is a working coffin box, built and assembled with intent. The paint holds the marks of the brush, and the finish is deliberately imperfect. The labels are handwritten. Nothing here has been standardised or refined for display. This is traditional craft as it is lived, not as it is presented.
This second edition has been created exclusively for Wax Spiritual.
Each coffin box is made one at a time, not in batches, not reproduced, and not replicated elsewhere. What you receive is not one of many, but one of a small number that exist at all.
Created in Essex by a practising traditional witch working under the name The Entangled Thicket, this set brings together a collection of baneful oils within a single contained working. Each botanical is grown, harvested, and prepared by hand, within a devotional framework aligned to Hekate, torch-bearer at the crossroads and guardian of thresholds.
This is not a passive collection. It is a contained path.
What’s Inside the Coffin Box
Each component carries its own role within traditional practice. These are not aesthetic blends, but working preparations with specific associations and uses.
Fly Agaric Oil (10ml)
Associated with altered states, threshold work, and non-ordinary perception. Used in workings centred on crossing between states, spirit awareness, and deep internal shifts.
Belladonna Oil (10ml)
Long connected to night rites, spirit-flight lore, and the dissolution of boundaries. Traditionally worked with in practices involving shadow, vision, and the unseen.
Datura Oil (10ml)
Linked to dream states, disorientation, and spirit communication. Appears across traditions in work involving surrender, altered awareness, and contact beyond the physical.
Aconite Oil (10ml)
A plant of gates and endings. Associated with protection, death thresholds, and baneful force. Used in work involving severance, defence, and hard boundaries.
Mandrake Oil (10ml)
A root steeped in folklore, tied to spirit presence, influence, and animistic power. Often worked with in rites involving control, attraction, and spirit alignment.
The Devil Made Me Do It Oil (8ml)
A compounded preparation used in workings involving influence, pressure, and behavioural shift. Sits within domination-adjacent practices where intention is directed outward.
Black Salt (small bottle)
A practical and widely documented material for protection, banishment, and boundary work. Used to mark thresholds, seal spaces, and reinforce defensive lines.
Context & Practice
Across traditional systems, herbs, roots, and oils form the functional base of the work, not symbolic additions. Oils are used to dress candles, tools, and petitions, acting as carriers of intention within ritual structure.
Baneful work, including crossing, binding, or removal, has historically existed alongside protection and healing. Practitioners were expected to understand both, not as opposites, but as part of a complete system of response and action.
There is no separation between tool and outcome. The practitioner defines both.
Why This Set Exists as a Collection
This set has been assembled as a contained working, not simply a grouping of oils.
- The coffin box acts as a boundary, holding the work together
- The oils allow for layered practice, from influence to severance to protection
- It supports structured workings rather than isolated use
- It keeps these materials separate from general tools, as they should be
The coffin form reflects containment, finality, and closure. It is aligned to the nature of the work itself.
Exclusivity & Making Process
This second edition is:
- Made exclusively for Wax Spiritual
- Created one coffin box at a time
- Built from homegrown botanicals prepared by the maker
- Assembled within a dedicated ritual working, not casually produced
No two will ever be identical, and there is no ongoing mass production. Once completed, each piece stands on its own.
Who This Is For
- Practitioners with an existing understanding of ritual structure
- Those familiar with toxic botanicals and their handling
- Individuals working with banishment, influence, or boundary-setting
- Collectors who value authentic, practitioner-led craft
This is not beginner work, and not designed for casual use.
Safety & Responsibility
Many of these botanicals are historically recognised as toxic.
- For external ritual use only
- Not for ingestion
- Not for application to skin
- Store securely, away from children and animals
Within traditional practice, responsibility sits fully with the practitioner.
About the Maker – The Entangled Thicket
The Entangled Thicket is a traditional witch’s apothecary rooted in devotional practice. Each oil is hand-prepared by a Priestess of Hekate, working within a disciplined and intentional framework.
This is lived practice, not aesthetic interpretation.
Final Note
By purchasing, the buyer accepts full responsibility for use.
The maker and retailer are not liable for misuse or outcome.
This is a working set. It requires knowledge, clarity, and intent.
