Set for Thursday, 13th March 2025 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Wax Spiritual in Colchester, Essex, this gathering marks a pivotal moment as we emerge from deep winter and step towards the rejuvenating Spring Equinox under the light of a potent Full Moon.
Astrologically, Thursday the 13th is particularly favourable as the Moon, nearing its full brilliance in Virgo, imbues the evening with a meticulous and healing energy. Virgo’s influence, celebrated for its nurturing, detail-oriented nature, supports the release of limiting beliefs and encourages a clear, mindful approach to creative self-expression. Upon arrival at Wax Spiritual, you are welcomed into an ambient space thoughtfully curated to spark inspiration and calm. The evening begins with a grounding practice at 6:30pm followed by a ceremonial sip of cacao to open the process. This isn’t ordinary hot chocolate; it is a ceremonial cacao steeped in ancient Mesoamerican traditions, known for its heart-opening qualities. Believed to gently stimulate the heart chakra, this sacred drink is used to symbolically release any limiting beliefs paving the way for renewed creative expression. Please note that as the session involves the consumption of cacao, those with allergies or dietary restrictions should let us know so we can make accommodations.
After the cacao ritual, you are invited to transmute this inner release into visual art. With all creative supplies provided – including a fresh sketchbook and drawing tools – you will have the opportunity to translate your emotions, memories, or inspirations onto a blank page. Whether you are an experienced artist or simply someone curious to witness your creative potential, this session encourages you to draw freely and authentically. In addition to nurturing creative expression, this event celebrates the debut of original artwork by Sophie, the visionary behind Wild Creativity, within the Wax Spiritual space and highlights a bounty of inspiration and divination tools available in the shop. The gathering subtly weaves in ancient cultural practices and the energy of the divine – reminiscent of numerous traditions that honour and celebrate creative fire and renewal.
