From Transformation to Guidance: An Interview with Antoinette

Jun 2, 2026 | Blog

This month, we sat down with Antoinette, one of Wax Spiritual’s practitioners. Antoinette is a gifted healer and channeler who currently offers tarot readings through the shop. If you have ever experienced a reading with Antoinette, you will know that her sessions are deeply activating, healing, and transformative.

This interview explores Antoinette’s journey, allowing you to learn more about her approach and why a session with her is never “just a reading.”

Beginning the Journey

What first drew you to tarot and spiritual work?

I have always been spiritual more than religious. I was raised traditionally Catholic, and one of my earliest memories is sitting in church listening to the priest. Even with the innocence of a child, something didn’t fully resonate with me.

I came across tarot in my mid-twenties. Although I had received readings before, I didn’t yet have a relationship with tarot itself. After having my second child and meeting like-minded people, I began to explore spirituality more deeply and realised tarot wasn’t really about prediction.

A lot of synchronicities started happening that led me towards becoming a reader. One day, I was walking down the road when a lady approached me holding a deck of angel cards. She told me she had been guided to give them to me, and that became my first deck. Initially, it felt overwhelming, but once I understood that tarot was about communication and connection, I realised just how powerful it could be in helping people.

Her Gifts & Reading Style

How would you describe your reading style to someone new to tarot?

My reading style is honest, nurturing, healing, and transformative. The aim of every reading is to give people the tools they need to face and move through whatever they are experiencing.

I will always be honest in a caring way, but sometimes directness is needed for a breakthrough to occur.

Readings can feel very activating, and people often leave feeling lighter afterwards. The sessions themselves are healing because of the energy that comes through and the vibration held within the space.

Sometimes angels or passed loved ones also come through during readings. Through my Angel Therapy training, I am able to convey the messages of the angels in readings. While I can’t guarantee who will appear, readings are often supported by guides and spiritual presence.

What do you feel people misunderstand most about tarot or spiritual guidance?

Spirituality and tarot have become more mainstream, and there are even links now being explored through quantum physics. Science is beginning to support what many of us have always intuitively known about energy.

Some people still view tarot as “woo-woo”, while others associate it with something demonic or negative. On the other side, some people don’t take it seriously enough.

While tarot can offer insight into the future and potential outcomes, it is ultimately a sacred tool for healing, self-development, manifestation, and transformation. It is not simply about prediction; I believe it can genuinely change lives.

From Transformation to Guidance

Spiritual Philosophy

How do you stay grounded while doing intuitive work?

I always call in the angels to open the space for both myself and the client. I surround myself with protection, visualise myself in a bubble, and cleanse the space using frankincense, palo santo, or sometimes a singing bowl.

Breathwork is also a powerful way to reconnect to the body and ground yourself.

How do ethics and integrity shape the way you work with clients?

We cannot control others; we can only control ourselves.

A lot of people come wanting answers about other people. While I may touch on those dynamics, the focus will always return to the individual and what they can do to move through the situation.

Some people are not ready to hear that, but discernment is about recognising who is truly ready to heal and who may still be attached to cycles of toxicity.

I cannot do the work for people who do not want to heal, but I can support them when they are ready. From the very first session, I make it clear that people must be willing to do the work if they want to see change.

Growth & Vision

Are there new services, workshops, or offerings you’d love to introduce?

Over the last year, I have been transforming and evolving both personally and professionally. I’m constantly receiving downloads and activations, and my work is naturally expanding more into empowerment, healing, and transformation.

I am currently studying EFT and learning additional therapeutic tools so I can create offerings that support people through healing, manifestation, growth, and change in a more structured way.

What kind of community do you hope to build through your work?

My main focus is helping people.

I have predominantly worked with women, although men are absolutely welcome too, but my energy naturally tends to draw women in. Often, they are women who have experienced difficult relationships, challenges with family life, or periods of emotional struggle.

A lot of the work is about shifting mindset, raising vibration, and helping people reconnect with themselves.

How do you want people to feel when they encounter your work, online or in person?

I want people to feel empowered, hopeful, and lighter.

I want them to leave feeling less weighed down by what they have been carrying and to feel supported in moving forward.

Personal & Human Questions

Outside of spiritual work, what inspires or nourishes you?

My children both fill and drain my cup.

What truly nourishes me is knowing that cycles are being broken. My children do not have to experience as much as I did growing up. It ends with me, and that is what keeps me going.

What has been one of the biggest lessons in your personal growth journey?

1. Always trust yourself and your intuition.
2. If you truly put your mind to something, you can make it happen. Even when things feel uncertain, if you desire something wholeheartedly and remain committed, it can become a reality.

What is the greatest thing you have manifested?

The biggest and most recent manifestation was our house move.

Even though it seemed impossible on paper, I wrote down exactly what I wanted and gave myself a twelve-month timeline. I didn’t know how it would happen, but ten months later, a house appeared that matched every requirement.

It came through hard work, mindset, manifestation, and trust.

What advice would you give people trying to manifest?

You do not always need to know how things will happen. We often become too focused on the “how”, but that part is not always ours to figure out.

Set your intention clearly, be mindful of your actions, and trust the process. You still need to take aligned action and work alongside God or the Universe, but try not to become consumed by the details.

What advice would you give someone beginning to explore spirituality or tarot?

Don’t be afraid.

You may hear horror stories, but so much depends on your own energy and intention. Be respectful, clear in your intentions, and approach the work seriously.

We are so overstimulated as human beings that it can feel difficult to slow down, but meditation is one of the most powerful tools for finding answers, elevating your vibration, and shifting your reality.

There’s a card I have that says:

“In prayer we talk to God, and in meditation God answers.”

If something in Antoinette’s story, approach, or philosophy has resonated with you, she currently offers online readings Monday to Friday and joins us in-store at Wax Spiritual once a month for face-to-face readings.
