The Baddeley Tarot: A Journey of Wisdom, Myth and Transformation – Renaissance Symbolism • Mythic Wisdom • Spiritual Illumination
The Baddeley Tarot by Jake Baddeley is a breathtakingly intricate tarot deck that bridges art, philosophy, and ancient mysticism. Steeped in the Renaissance tradition and inspired by the wisdom of the ancients, this deck invites you to embark on a timeless journey through the hidden patterns of myth and meaning.
Each card within The Baddeley Tarot serves as a mirror of the soul’s evolution, guiding seekers through life’s mysteries and toward deeper illumination. Rooted in the structure and esoteric philosophies of early tarot systems, this deck reawakens the spiritual essence of the cards before they became standardised by the Rider–Waite or Crowley traditions. Baddeley’s interpretations reconnect tarot to its original symbolic language—rich in myth, astrology, alchemy, and philosophy—offering a profound framework for divination and spiritual reflection.
The artwork, created by Jake Baddeley, draws upon the techniques of the Renaissance masters, echoing the symbolic realism and spiritual grandeur of that era. Each image is a tapestry of layered meaning: mythological figures, celestial motifs, and alchemical emblems intertwine to form a visual and spiritual odyssey. The accompanying text, meticulously researched, uncovers the forgotten correspondences and philosophical roots of tarot, making this set an invaluable resource for serious practitioners, historians, and collectors alike.
This is more than a deck—it is a work of esoteric scholarship and artistic devotion. With its gold-foil embellished packaging and thoughtful production, The Baddeley Tarot feels like an heirloom of wisdom reborn for the modern seeker.
